I've finally found you...

...dear photography.

I've always loved to take pictures, even more so as my two daughters came along. And so I'm baffled that it has taken me so long to come to the realization that this is the road that I am meant to take. Throughout my early life I had my happiest moment while expressing myself in a creative way. First through music, I played the piano, flute, then the French horn. Second through dance, loved those tap, jazz, and ballet classes! Lastly through arts and crafts, scrapbooking (and taking the pictures to fill them!) and x-stitch being my favorites.

In college I majored in Political Science. Now I still am interested in all things political, but I don't know how I thought I could be really happy and satisfied in my life going into a field that I couldn't express myself in the way God meant for me. I don't devalue my education in anyway! I just wish I would have joined the photography club while there!

My kids have also played a large roll in my evaluation of where I wanted to go in life. I am so thankful to be able to be a stay at home mom to my girls. These early years are so precious and being able to witness every milestone is awesome. My husband is a great provider, and the best husband anyone could ask for! I knew that if I was going to start on a new path, one that would inevitably take me away from time with my family, it would have to be one that fulfilled my creativity and soul. I have no doubt whatsoever that photography is what gives this to me and will continue to give to me! It is so exciting to finally see clarity in this aspect of my life. The support my family is giving me just doubles my excitement!

Hey Kid,

GOD blessed you with brains, beauty, creativity and tenacity, well maybe a little too much muliness at times, but that can work for you if you apply it in the right places. We know you will do well. We love you. Don't forget who blessed you will all your talents and give thanks to Him everyday. Go to church once and a while!

God Bless,

Dad & Susie

I found your blog from the Digital Photography Show. I enjoyed reading your blog. I too and just getting started with my photography business - I have so many questions to ask you about how you got involved as a "shooter" in the wedding and how your process your pictures. They are beautiful. I am a stay at home mom and run a Intnert business from my home office.

Please keep in touch!

Cheers,
Laurel
